Our wines

Gamme découverte

For the pleasure and the discovery of the Domain FICHET simply by indulging itself. This rather complete range will allow you to appreciate the classic quality of wines of Mâconnais, on the lightness, the fruity, the side easy to drink between friends all simply, in a very interesting value for money.
We work the various soils in reasoned culture, with all the same of the enherbement, the plowing 1 rank on 2, and the classic practices of the naming. We do not emphasize necessarilysoils individual, but rather by assembly of several to propose volumes a little more important by vintage.

Rather beautiful success because since then, on 2005 the Domain always has was a gold medal with at least a competition, saint Vincent in Mâcon or Paris and obtained in 2012 and 2013 the trophy of Best « Mâcon Rosé » of the year.

Mâcon-Igé « Château London »

This plot of land, promoted by the Estate since 1978, is one of the most prestigious and well-known of the whole area of Mâcon. With a production of 4.75 ha (11 ac 32ft²) on a global surface of 10 ha (20 ac 31ft²), it’s the most important one in area and the heart of our range.
South-West exposed at mid-hills on a soft chalky clay-limestone soil. Maturities are often slow and rather late, which allows a good freshness and minerality, together with the fruity notes of Chardonnay. The 4.75 ha are progressively harvested, pacing the ripeness of the various lots. After a quick cold maceration of the skins within 12 to 15 hours under carbonic-gas protection, the pressure of the grapes is very easy, since we already obtain the so called “Chardonnay cream”, i.e. 80% of the drop juice. 10% of the cuvee is grown in oak barrels, corresponding to the oldest vine grapes and mostly to this very plot that has been planted back in 1929.

Bourgogne Pinot Noir « Le Vignot »

First of the Estate’s plots of land to have been promoted, precocious and situated on a beautiful East-South-East hillside. The Estate counts now 7 ha (17 ac 31ft²) of Pinot Noir soils, with Francis being one of the firsts wine makers to plant Pinot Noir grapes in the Mâcon area, back in the Sixties. This cuvee is elaborated with the oldest vines of the Estate on 3 ha (7 ac 18ft²), as the heart of our Pinot Noir ranges, with a naturally limited production. As we do on the other vineyards, we operate de-budding if necessary, systematically followed by leaf-thinning of the clusters right after the flowering in June. A gorgeous long-keeping wine.
